The Drone Holiday Program consists of a two-day course that builds from theory to practice.
Students begin by exploring FPV drone racing in action, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) rules and regulations of recreational drone flying, and drone parts and components.
Students work in teams to design, build and prototype an obstacle race course and complete various flying activities and manoeuvres in a contained environment.
Students become familiar with the physics of how drones fly, the speed and environmental considerations of drone delivery, and the limitations around drone data collection. As the program evolves, students understand the application and use of drones today and future job opportunities.
Finally, students participate in a championship round and compete for obstacle course glory.
This program is designed to be fun with plenty of hands-on flying.
