Parent FAQs for holiday programs

How do I book into a school holiday program?

All bookings are made online via nvokepartners.com/holiday-programs

What does my child need to bring to the program?

• Morning team, lunch, and afternoon tea
• Named water bottle
• Sun hat, comfortable clothes, and enclosed shoes
• Laptop if enrolled in the Humanoid Robotics program

What are the BYO device requirements?

For the Humanoid Robotics program, your child is required to bring a laptop from home. The laptop needs to meet the following criterion:

• Should be a bonafide laptop, a tablet or phone won't be adequate
• Must have Microsoft PowerPoint installed (your child will be creating & editing PowerPoint files)
• Must be able to connect to wifi networks without restrictions
• Have a web browser installed (e.g. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge). Please note that if the laptop is a Mac, it will need access to the admin login (main login)
• Be reasonably fast and perform well
A device is not required for the Drone Racing programs.

What age groups do your holiday programs cater for?

The Humanoid Robotics Program and the 2-Day Drone Program are developed for students aged 8-18 years. The Advanced Drone Holiday Program is suitable for students aged 12-18 years.

How many students are in each program?

Each program will have up to 20 students. We aim to keep the numbers low so that students get the most time playing and exploring with equipment, and instructors can deliver personalised attention to each team.

Is food provided?

For the safety of students with allergies, we do not provide food at our programs. We ask that any food that you pack for your child is free from nuts.
There are three break periods throughout the day; morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. Please pack enough food to keep your child energised and alert for the whole day, as if they were attending a regular day at school.

Who is in charge of the program?

There will be a qualified teacher supervising the programs. We have drone and robotics experts that work alongside us to deliver the coding and racing. The World Number One Drone Racer will deliver and coach the drone holiday programs. The teacher will deliver alongside both group presenters and instructors.

Are the drone programs held indoors or outdoors?

We have elements that require time indoors and outdoors. The weather conditions also guide us on the day.

What do I do if my child is unwell on the day?

In the unfortunate event that your child is unwell and unable to attend, please email liz.bailey@nvokepartners.com or phone +61 (04)434 351 700.
